Join us for a fascinating talk by Bill Kolstad on the Irony of the Ice Age. Mr. Kolstad started in Business and International Finance, but lifestyle prevailed over economics and he moved to Lake Tahoe working on real estate, finance and insurance while raising a family and studying geology over 30 years. While flying small aircraft above the dry lake beds of Nevada, he saw the direct and visible link between the jurassic and the ice age. Bill traded insurance to do more field research, writing and outreach relating to the 20th century academic construct of geologic time. This led to the creation of a geologic study group in the fall of 2017 to re-examine the field evidence in the Great Basin. In only 16 months, the study group has grown to over 350 members.
